Reception for the 2008 Comhairle na nÓg Delegates in Council Chambers on May 13th 2008

The 2008 Comhairle na nÓg Delegates and their families attended a reception in the Council Chambers on Tuesday May 13th . Mayor Cllr. Michael Healy Rae welcomed the delegates and acknowledged their work in the promoting the Comhairle in Kerry during the year. The Mayor presented each delegate with a certificate and a specially commissioned Valentia Slate Plaque to mark the occasion.

 

The delegates spoke of their experiences of the 2008 Dáil na nÓg and also made a powerpoint presentation on the Comhairle process in Kerry. Representatives from Kerry County Council, Kerry Diocesan Youth Service and the Community and Voluntary Forum also spoke at the reception
