The
Kerry County Development Board was established in February
2000. The Board draws its membership from four sectors,
Local Government, Local Development, State Agencies and
Social Partners. The primary objective of the Board is to
put in place a county strategy for economic, social and
cultural development. This strategy will represent a framework
for enhanced local level co-ordination in the delivery of
services in our county. It is a shared vision of where we
want County Kerry to be in the future.
The Kerry County Development Board is an innovative approach
to meaningful partnership at a county level. The strategy
being developed by the Board will be carried out using a
high degree of consultation, allowing the people of Kerry
an opportunity to shape its future over the next ten years.
