"Meitheal Chiarraí" Working Together for our Future 2002 - 2011, a ten-year Strategy for the future development of the County was launched on 14th June 2002 by Councillor Brian O'Leary, Chairman of the Kerry County Development Board. Meitheal Chiarrai Working Together for our Future 2002 - 2011 spells out the economic, social and cultural development priorities which have been agreed by the major public service organisations in the County. It is the first time that a strategy of this nature has been prepared for the County.

A key objective of the Meitheal Chiarraí Strategy is to embed the principle of integrated public service delivery in the interests of the people of Kerry. The Strategy sets down priorities under five headings:

• The Economy,
• Social and Health,
• Culture, Heritage and the Irish Language,
• Environment and Sustainable/Spatial Development,
• Infrastructure

Tá Meitheal Chiarraí déanta suas de thosaíochtaí eacnamaíochta, sóisialta agus cultúrtha, ar a aontaigh mór eagraíochtaí seirbhísí poiblí an Chontae. Is é seo an chéad uair dá leithéid de straitéis a bheith ullmhaithe don gContae.
