Text Box: Perhaps the question most often asked during the consultation phase of the development of “Meitheal Chiarraí” related to how the Board proposed to implement the Strategy. It has often been said that many good strategies were plagued by poor implementation. The Board, conscious of this fact, focused on the need to put in place structures which would deliver a streamlined, efficient and responsive implementation process. The Implementation proposal is set out in Section 5 of the Strategy and centres around the establishment of an Implementation Review Group for each of the five different sections of the Strategy. These structures are co-ordinated by a Board Monitoring Group which consists of the Chairperson of the Board, the Chairperson of each of the Review Groups, the Social Inclusion Group and the Director. The structures which have been established respond to the most frequently asked question. However, the most important message is that implementation of the Strategy has commenced and that
